Who is responsible
Fairwind Commerce, operating Fairwind Medical Supply in Windsor, Ontario, is responsible for personal information under its control. Privacy questions and access or correction requests may be sent to sales@fairwindmedical.ca.
Information we collect
When you submit a product request or complete checkout, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, Canadian delivery address, requested retail products, quantities and delivery notes. A customer account is optional. If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides a verified account identifier, name, email address and profile image. If you register with email, Firebase provides an account identifier and securely handles the password and verification process. Fairwind does not receive your Google password and does not store readable account passwords. The website does not currently collect payment card details.
Why we use it
- Record and respond to a product inquiry or checkout order.
- Review specifications, availability, tax, delivery and order requirements.
- Coordinate an accepted retail order and provide customer support.
- Maintain order, distribution and business records, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.
Consent, sharing and marketing
We use inquiry, order and optional member information for the purpose described when it is collected. Google and Firebase process member sign-in information under their own terms and privacy practices. We may share only what is reasonably necessary with delivery providers, technology service providers or professional advisers supporting the request. We do not sell personal information. Commercial electronic messages are sent only where permitted, and marketing messages will include a way to unsubscribe.
Retention and safeguards
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the inquiry, an order, support, legal requirements or legitimate business records. We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information, while recognizing that no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Access, correction and deletion
You may ask what personal information we hold about you and request access, correction or deletion where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law requires or permits it.
Website technology and updates
The hosting platform may use essential technical data needed to deliver and protect the website. Fairwind does not knowingly use advertising cookies on this website unless a later notice says otherwise. We may update this policy as the website or legal requirements change and will post the revised date here.
